Our Carnival Cruise - January 2012

We went on a Carnival Cruise right after the new year. Here we are, looking out at our ship, from Catalina Island. It wasn't swimming weather, but we had so much fun! On board the ship, we did miniature golf, played deck games and laser tag, danced, worked out at the gym, and relaxed in the sauna. We did lots of exploring, and even more eating! The 24 hour panini bar and pizza counter were favorites. We also spent a day in Ensenada, Mexico, where we toured the city, went to the blow hole, shopped downtown, and counted our blessings!

Another 1st Day of School!

They're ALL in school! Maylin is in 6th, Joshua in 3rd, and Ethan in Kindergarten. Waaahhh! Maylin was way too cool to hold up her finger! After we dropped them off at school that morning, Marv said to me, "Well, you're a free woman! What are you going to do all day?" Naturally, I went shoe shopping, came home, watched a little TV, and then took a long nap....... NOT! I now realize that having kids in school doesn't mean having unlimited free time. It just means that I can do all the boring stuff without a poor little rugrat named Ethan at my feet. I miss him! But I don't think he misses running errands with me. :)

It's GREAT 2 B 8!

It's Great to be 8........ especially when turning 8 means you get to be baptized! Joshua is excited to say, "I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!" We are proud of you, Joshua!

He's a pro now!

Ethan decided that he wanted to ride his bike without training wheels. He picked it up amost immediately and, on his own accord, spent lots of time in the back yard practicing "taking off" by himself. He is a pro now! Today I went out back and found him cruising around on Joshua's tall bike. Clever kid! He figured out how to prop the bike up against something solid while he climbs up and pushes off.
